Meriden’s story has been near and dear to my heart for a long while. His is the first story in which I tried to express a character’s change from seeing themself as a hero to realizing they’re actually just a bully, and doing something about that. The moonlets, the fireflies, they ignite some magic in my soul. I think this is my favourite story that I’ve written to date and I hope you like it.
Congratulations to you, Jennifer! I read your story- it was so beautiful and descriptive. Reminded me of a short animated film I watched called La Luna. I liked how you hyper-focussed on a single scene while revealing the wizard’s thoughts and past as well. Definitely genre-bending and a deserving candidate for Hybrid Fiction. Keep it up!

It’s a disney+pixar collab- maybe youtube has it? I found it on Jio cinema, an Indian streaming service. It’s a sweet little movie; you’ll definitely adore it. Also, I’d like to add that your story inspired a poem this morning. I’m not an early riser but I specially got up today to write it.
It’s been fairly long since I’ve written a poem, so thank you for that!
