The oldest rolled her eyes. “Don’t be silly. It’s obviously an octopus comb. They use them all the time to keep the seaweeds in their gardens from getting too knotted.”

Okay, one of my favorite subjects is octopus intelligence! Don’t know about octopus gardening, but octopi are known to pick things up off the seafloor and use them as tools. So this story is totally plausible!
